Frequently Asked Questions

How many pictures will we receive?

This will all depend on the session you decide on; however, all of my sessions guarantee a minimum of 30 images! For a better idea on how many images you will receive for a specific session, feel free to look at my Pricing Guide!

What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?

The best time to have a newborn session is within the first 48 hours of life to about 6 weeks. This is when they are the sleepiest (and sweetest!) and tend to be the easiest to work with. After 6 weeks, they typically sleep a little less and for shorter periods of time, and don't always sleep as deeply, making those adorable sleepy shots a little more difficult!

How should we dress for our family session?

This is one of the hardest parts of preparing for your session! The best answer is neutrals; tan, black, beige, brown, blues, and cream are some great examples! Anything with a neutral color palette will not only look great in a number of environments, but it will also make your skin tone look the best. Think of it as a giant reflector, whatever color you wear is going to reflect onto your skin! Some colors to definitely avoid would be yellows, bright reds and pinks, and anything neon.

We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?

Of course, neither am I! That's why I'm behind the camera. All jokes aside, that's what I am here for! I specialize in documentary style photos, meaning I would rather be a fly on the wall and watch you interact naturally than pose you. I will walk and prompt you through every step of our shoot, and you are never pressured to do anything you are uncomfortable with. We're in this together!
